I am loyal and thankful for the players that are representing our school, but I have NO LOYALTY to this coaching staff. Please leave them in Austin. I can say with no uncertainty, we could pull a fan from the crowd to do a better job of coaching that what we are seeing. There is NO amount of money you could pay an elite player to play for Joni. She's earned nothing. Absolutely pathetic effort by her and her staff. Spare me the BS about NIL when we have coaches on campus doing well with what they have.

Na, the people who pay him millions asked him to drop wearing it. I don't hate him for it.

Plenty of folks around CS and our AD you should be pissed at for letting him end up in Austin.

Would take him back home at Reed in a heartbeat.

I didn't see them all but one happened with about 2:30 left in the first half and we still had all 4 time outs left. Players should be aware of what they should do in that situation as well as the coach. Inexcusable.

The game clearly sucked but leaving that aside, I question your comment in bold above. Curious as to your reference or indication that this is true. Clearly has not been my experience.

I see that Ms. Carter still wears hers proudly on the sidelines.

I think our frustration with Vic is a bit unwarranted, but I get it. He graduated from Texas A&M and helped build an incredible program from the basement to a national player and a natty. He deserves a great deal of respect and admiration for that. Can you imagine giving your entire life to a school as an undergraduate and coach and then being told you won't ever be the head coach? How can you blame him for looking out for himself and his family. He's done exactly what he did here at every place he's gone. Texas A&M - champion caliber program; Mississippi State - champion caliber program. tu - champion caliber program. He is a winner. His heart will always be with Texas A&M, but he's more worried about winning championships and leaving a legacy than he is about how we view him.

I'm thinking we should have just promoted coach White to head coach. She is struggling a bit at Southern Illinois with a 49-75 overall record, but we wouldn't have had to pay her as much as Joni and her staff, and she had connections here that could have been continued.

I'm at a total loss for this program. In my wildest dreams I could have never imagined it would get this bad.

hmm a top 5 team coach is considered soft because he took off a ring for a job?

If the new Aggie basketball coach was a graduate of Texas and wore burnt orange around campus would we ask them to wear a different color?

Honest question regarding Vic. He's an aggie, loves the school. We didn't spurn him because we basically HAD to give Gary another year. Why wouldn't he consider us? Plenty of coaches "go home". Why not Vic?

We're not as committed that's why.

Schloss left because of the AD, not lack of support or he wasn't going "back home". Mulkey didn't really go home, she didn't go to LSU. Her son did. I think she left because LSU was willing to commit more than Baylor and I don't think she liked sharing the spotlight with Drew after he won a title.

Again, I don't see our AD spending 7.5 million to buyout vic and joni; then doubling the salary for WBB to 3 million/year. For a program that isn't really supported by the fans.

My theory is we are basically going to suffer for another year of this and then let her go and then we'll look for someone who is a top recruiter as an assistant coach or take a flyer on an up and coming mid major coach. But my first call is Mark Campbell at TCU.
