Our mortgage was bought by a new servicer, and they contacted me about refinancing while I was setting up my account. They quoted me at 3.125% for 30 years, and are covering all closing costs except for the VA fee. How is this comparing to the rest of the market right now?

That sounds high for a VA loan

I would look at PenFed for an Irrrl right now

Seems high without knowing specifics. I'd be happy to take a quick look if you would like me to, no obligation of course.

Terrible Rate.

I probably receive 5 letters a week from various lenders encouraging me to re-finance.

I have 1.75%, ~ 1.89& APR did it last year about May/June

What you saw last year is meaningless now. Rates move daily

Checked this morning. Basic rate is 2.25 no points but I'm not offering that until I get full understanding of the loan variables

Make sure you read the fine print on those mailers. They always slide in 2-3 discount points to get that rate.

Lo's next door to me are saying the same thing. This seems to be pretty standard.
