You may have seen my other post asking about real estate inspections as a possible pivot for me out of residential construction but I wanted to start another thread to ask for some more suggestions as well.
I've been a residential builder in Austin for 15 years now and have enjoyed it more or less and have found a niche project where my income is phenomenal. However this project has about 2 years left on it and I'd really like to use that as an opportunity to take my experience in real estate and do something else. I'm burned out and would like a new challenge. A couple things I've thought of so far are becoming an inspector and also getting a real estate license and becoming a realtor. The good news is I have 2-3 years to prepare for whatever I do next. Has anyone else made a similar career move or have any advice on things I might look into pursuing? Thanks.
