Does anyone have knowledge in changing zoning for a property or know a lawyer who could help? I am looking at a lot in Austin 78758 that is currently zoned for mobile homes only. I would want it to be changed to single family or multi-family home.

Call the county tax assessors office, and ask them if a change in zoning is likely for the area. Sometimes this is a layer on their GIS maps which can be accessed online. https://austincad.org/

I think a zoning change requires alteration to the zoning master land use plan which you can also find online through the zoning & planning dept.

Find a real estate attorney, and pay them a consulting fee. They can tell you what steps to take.

Judging by a quick google that there is only one mobile home park in that zip code, and that zip code is close into town, you're probably going to run into resistance for removing low income housing.

Yeah. I spoke with a few people and it isn't a property we are moving forward with.

Probably a good call. Rezoning anywhere is tough. Austin especially. Careful not to run into the birds.
