I'm class of 79 and my wife is a Real Estate agent. We live in East Tennessee just south of Knoxville in Blount County, TN. She specializes in finding homes for out of state buyers. I'm not saying this because I'm her husband, but from the comments she receives from her out of state clientele, she is a great and responsive agent.
FWIW, lots of people are heading in this direction so there's a nice mix of locals and transplants. Many, if not all of the transplants are looking for a slower pace of life who love the outdoors and are sick of living in places like California and New York. Also, the people are right of center so if one is a liberal they're going to be in the minority in a big way.
