For the first time ever, the fed forecasted a recession...this means Mortgage Rates will go down if this holds true....inflation drives mortgage rates and increasing fed rates are targeted at decreasing inflation. Home prices historically stay strong thru Recessions. Stay strong Ags as Real Estate is still a great investment. Dont let the media misinformation guide your decisions and while mortgage rates will not immediately go down, home prices will not be going down,..

I sure do hope you're right. I'll be closing on a construction-to-permanent loan next summer. The wife and I are pretty nervous about it right now. I'm just going to stay cool and collected, but I certainly have zero clue what's in store for future mortgage rates.

Selfishly, I hope you're wrong and would like a downturn in the market. I want an opportunity to pick up some additional property(s).

I'm just not sure how you can make such a definitive statement about markets that have year over year median sale price increases of 30-50%+ the last two years. You could be right, but I think you could definitely be wrong.

We are going to grind in nominal terms and lose in real terms. Get your hard assets together now and trade them in for many more rental properties in 7-8 years.
