I used to go to Lands of Texas. Now it's simply land.com

I can also help you with a MLS search for property in the BCS area.

I wish there was just one single one stop shop for buying land, but there isn't. I would set up search filters on the following websites:

1. Land.com
2. Your local MLS or Realtor.com
3. Regional land broker websites. You kind of have to google around for these. If you tell me the area you're looking in, I can give you some.
4. Zillow/Facebook to a lesser extent.

Farm/Ranch/Ag/Recreational is probably my favorite property type to help buyers. It's not as cookie cutter as residential, and there's a lot more that can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing. I've helped folks here buy land all over Texas and if you'd like, I'd be happy to help you as well. My contact info is in my profile!

not to hijack but red pear would you mind sending me a PM with your contact information and a good time to talk in the next few weeks? We are interested in making a purchase in the next few months and don't have a realtor.

Edit, nm got your contact info. I'll send you an email this weekend.

Land.com as others have said.

I found Redfin.com extremely helpful as well. Easy filter functions and mapping.

I kind of like LandWatch a little more than Lands, but that may just be more. If you're actively looking, I'd search both. They may even be owned by the same company, but I like the interface and filters available on LandWatch a bit more than Lands.

Yeah they are both owned by CoStar and should have the same data. So whichever works better for you!

We found our 10 acres on Zillow.

I was using other sites occasionally, but they seemed to be geared more towards larger places that were (unfortunately) out of our price range.

And hey there, Red Pear. I believe one of your clients bought our house a few weeks ago.

I've been using land.com as well, but I'll send you a PM Mr. Red Pear!

We are looking to buy land sometime the first half of this year in an ideal world.

I have several land listings in Brazoria and Lavaca county if you're looking into those markets.
