Hello, looking for advice/recommendations on using a home as collateral to buy a rental property as an investment?

On the advice side I don't think in this environment there is a deal good enough to hock my house at these interest rates. Unless you found something off market with a ton of equity.

Are you talking about using your primary home as collateral? HELOC?

I need to seriously look into the best way to tap into the equity in one of my rentals. But it's at a 3.25% apr and it cashflows nicely. I guess the only downside is that eventually I pay it off completely, lol. Still, I know there's something else I could be doing with that equity. Maybe when rates drop a bit...

Yeah using my primary home that's paid off as collateral.

If it is free and clear you can do a cash out mortgage for a first mortgage fixed rate. You can use the funds for what ever you would like with no pre-payment penalty that way you can refinance if rates drop over the next few years.

We do offer some second lien products (open ended lines and closes end loans) out of our balance sheet for non-owner occupied properties. Love to chat about it.
