Not a Longhorn apologist whatsoever, but they do schedule a solid OOC game (as does A&M and most of the SEC during the first few weeks of the season). If Texas Tech earns a first round bye, they'll certainly set a precedence that proves you should play the weakest OOC schedule possible, even if you're already in a weak conference. What's the Big-XIIs best OOC win?
I'm at peace with whatever happens. We showed some improvement and beat oU and A&M. That's not enough, but y'all know what I mean. We've had much worse seasons. We came into the SEC much like A&M and showed we're up the task.
This season the Ags put together 11 wins in a row in the SEC and knocked off the Domers.
That's impressive as hell. They certainly should be ahead of Tech in the rankings when you weigh the schedules.
11-1 Tech is impressive also, I'm always happy to give them their due, but it is a sick joke they're ranked above the 11-1 Ags. I think the flaw in the system is pretty obvious when you see that. We are absolutely penalized for for playing quality OOCs, and when you win, it isn't acknowledged.
