And both A&M and the sips would be undefeated if they had played Tech's schedule.

If Tech skull drags the mormons again, and Alabammer can knock off Jawja, and tOSU can work up an ol' number 7 on that basketball school, Tech could find themselves at #2 next Sunday.

Close your eyes and imagine having to play 8 conference games against a 7-5 Arizona State squad! Terrifying, right?

Mississippi State would take that schedule in a heartbeat!

Close your eyes and imagine having to play every game on the road without Reed, or needing a miracle come back every game to beat a 3 win team......

Texas A&M played a bowl game without a head coach and 3rd/4th stringers (had walk-ons starting in the secondary) against Oklahoma State two years ago and lost by a touchdown. Your hero and our distinguished guest, the honorable Big 12-0, stated that excuse didn't matter.

Not a Longhorn apologist whatsoever, but they do schedule a solid OOC game (as does A&M and most of the SEC during the first few weeks of the season). If Texas Tech earns a first round bye, they'll certainly set a precedence that proves you should play the weakest OOC schedule possible, even if you're already in a weak conference. What's the Big-XIIs best OOC win?

I'm at peace with whatever happens. We showed some improvement and beat oU and A&M. That's not enough, but y'all know what I mean. We've had much worse seasons. We came into the SEC much like A&M and showed we're up the task.

This season the Ags put together 11 wins in a row in the SEC and knocked off the Domers.
That's impressive as hell. They certainly should be ahead of Tech in the rankings when you weigh the schedules.
11-1 Tech is impressive also, I'm always happy to give them their due, but it is a sick joke they're ranked above the 11-1 Ags. I think the flaw in the system is pretty obvious when you see that. We are absolutely penalized for for playing quality OOCs, and when you win, it isn't acknowledged.

Game control has something to do with it in the minds of the committee, and Tech has been stellar in this area.

Also this probably has something to do with it.

But yeah A&M dropped waaaaay more than I thought they would coming off the loss to Texas.

Not surprised how far we dropped. Late season losses are deadly. Imagine if Notre Dame's losses to A&M and Miami were the last two games of the season. Notre Dame wouldn't even sniff the playoffs. The exact same resume, just different timing.

Yea like Florida State would. They beat Bama who beat UGA who beat UT <badly> Who beat TAMU And given TAMU played nobodies in the SEC until Texas whom destroyed them.

So using this idiot logic. Then:

(Miss State > ASU > TTU ) == (FSU > BAMA > GA > UT > TAMU)
