Has anyone played the course? What kind of shape is it in?

We are not paying much for Friday afternoon which concerns me a little.

I assume you are talking about the one in Conroe.

I played it in 2021. It wasn't in tip too shape, but wasn't a goat ranch. It is surrounded by tall pines. They look like you can sneak your ball through, but I swear those pines have a tractor beam on them. Just absolute ball magnets. I don't recall it being overly difficult, if you can keep the ball in the fairway. A couple pretty holes, and some with some elevation change. Oddly enough, a place called Margaritaville didn't have a beer cart. Maybe it was covid. Lots of houses along the course.

Haven't played it since margaritville took it over. Used to be pretty good for what it was. IMO pretty similar to Walden (which is overhyped imo).

Nothing spectacular, but a solid track

Their greens suck. The course is ok, as long as you're paying 30-50$ I would say it has 1-2 memorable holes (that's a stretch). Pretty tight, so anything risky is rarely worth the reward. If you're looking for a slightly above muni course then you'll be fine. Greens really are a major factor for me and like I mentioned they aren't well kept.

It's been a year since I've been, so maybe, just maybe you'll find the right time.

It's the old Del Lago… pretty decent track, but I've heard it's in horrendous shape.

Walden is and always has been much better. I worked at both

Panorama is in much better shape right now. Or drive just down the road to High Meadow Ranch you will thank me later.

Front blew in when we where on 11.

I would say the course overall was in pretty good shape and the layout was enjoyable.

Well worth the 35 bucks. They let us each take our own cart and we played in just under 3 hours.

Having grown up 45 minutes from Conroe, I have tried to play there 4 separate occasions when I went back home for the Hollidays. Stayed at the craps table too late three of the times and missed the tee time. The fourth time I clean forgot that we even made a tee time and went bowling / got drunk with the cousins.

In short, I still haven't played there. Good to see some of you enjoyed it.
