How long do you want to ignore this user?
Two part question. I'm on a recent mission to work on my golf game more. Took a break from golf and life got in the way and I want to improve and enjoy the game more now. Short game is a no brainer for improvement but I'm looking at other angles as well.

Question 1 - I read many glowing reviews on misig here on Texags last night but hadn't heard of it previously. Prior to reading the Texags forum I was considering superspeed/stack type setup or the orange whip. Who doesn't want more distance and my tempo gets quick sometimes which is what got me wondering on the orange whip. But with misig, these seem more intriguing because of proven results but my biggest fear is that every time I've worked on trying to gain flexibility to make a better turn and longer back swing (mine is somewhat shorter than average), I end up messing up my timing so bad that I lose interest and go back to my shorter swing. Any suggestions on product out of these 3? Or is it the obvious answer of misig and just force myself to have bad timing for a while?

Question 2 - any suggestions on general weight lifting and stretching type programs, YouTube channels, etc for overall golf benefits?

I'm a fan of speed sticks. Not a fan of MISIG. The thing Scheffler is endorsed by looks intriguing.

I've been using speed sticks for several years and they have certainly helped me maintain speed. But not sure I gained any distance….

Now using the stack system. It was expensive but I think it's better for 2 reasons.

1 - you're measuring every swing for speed. And the app does a decent job of telling you the highest speed in your history so you naturally try to exceed your best.

2 - the app sets reminders on your phone for your next workout. So there's the guilt thing.

And each workout is a plan to execute.

With the sticks - it's a very simple workout.

I use both MISIG and Speedstick. They both work and they're as good as if and when you use it.

Weightlifting itself is a major muscle stretcher. It can only help.

Ballspeed is the measure of truth. And I'm only concerned about speed with driver.

My biggest improvement came when I dialed in my distance with short irons 80-140 yards as i started to hit more greens.

Getting good at short game is given. But Id start off with making more 3-4 footers.

All this is meaningless if you're mentally a basket case. Amnesia is your best friend in golf. After a bad shot, instead of focusing on "I have to birdie or par" to break XX, just focus on your next shot on what to do and not what not to do.

I've gotten pretty out of shape and inflexible so I started Dynamic Golfers recently and like it. It has a bunch of different simple warmup routines, stretching routines and some strengthening. It's pretty yoga and flexibility based but I feel good afterwards. Only like $8/month.

This guy really resonated with me - simple, quick, efficient workouts and the info he provides on Twitter is really intriguing. He also is very responsive if you ever contact him.
