For those of you that have played in WPB, whats your favorite course to play that isn't private? Top of my list is PGA National as I like playing tour stops but if you have experience with it, how was it?

The wife and I are planning on going to Astro's Spring Training in March and will take any WPB suggestions you got; golf, dinners, stays, etc.

Go Stros! I went down a couple of years ago and as you pointed out the huge majority of the best courses are private. I played a couple that I don't remember, but the one that was fun and sticks out was the Palm Beach Par 3. Its a very nice par 3 course on the water.

PGA National is an absolute bear… but it's good/great. Still just "Florida golf" though.

Palm Beach Par 3

Great little course. For several years in a row I vacationed just down the street with the family. They'd sleep in every morning and I'd sneak out for a quick 18.

My father and I played Palm Beach National when we were in town for the Orange Bowl in 2020. Really enjoyed the course. Had a very nice laid back vibe.

thanks for the suggestions! Palm Beach Par 3 looks so cool, it's definitely on my list.

Any suggestions on where to stay? We don't have to stay near the ball park. Looking for somewhere that has some walkability to restaurants and cool areas that won't bust a budget. Being by the beach woud be preferable but not a necessity.

We stayed at the Ben in West Palm Beach. Nice rooftop pool, a short walk to all the restauraunts on Clemantis St and we rented bikes from there and rode over to the beach.

Is the Palm Beach Par 3 a full 18 holes, or just play 9 twice?
