Going on a buddies trip from May 5-7 and plan on playing at least once a day. I was thinking about a par3 course on Saturday as well, but don't have any idea how far courses are from each other.

Courses on the list as of now from other buddies within the group are:
Waterchase
Sky Ridge (depending on price)
Iron Horse
Fossil Creek

We usually play some form of a team scoring due to the range of HCPs/lack of playing for some and are looking to have a good time while playing some nice courses.

Any recommendations on courses?

Waterchase and Fossil Creek are great. I assume you mean Sky Creek? If so, it's good too. I'd skip Iron Horse unless you like really tight neighborhood courses where you can't hit driver much.

Skip iron horse. Play Texas star. Don't overlook grapevine muni either.

Texas Golf Center is a nice little par 3 course next to Waterchase.

Champions Circle (far North Fort Worth)
Texas Rangers (also near Waterchase)
Hawks Creek (West Fort Worth)
