It's been a decade since I've lived/played in Dallas. How are the conditions and crowds of Sherrill Park/Firewheel. Any others we should look at ?

Played at Firewheel bridges course a few times last summer and pace of play was pretty quick but I only played on weekdays. Sherrill stays pretty busy. Tennison Highlands its nice but it has been pretty busy lately.

Always loved the Bridges and Lakes course at Firewheel. Been a while since I played Sherrill but it was pretty good.

FWIW a buddy of mine played Bridges 2 weeks ago and described the greens as "dirt painted green".

Sherrill can get really busy during the late week and weekends. if you're down for a super twilight round you'll be able to cruise through in good time.

Course 2 is all i know and seems to be doing well. greens are great after the freeze and all the spots on the fairway are filling in nicely.

Yeah, I played it once over winter and there was dew. Had green crap all over my putter and hand.

What about Indian creek or Watters ?

The Tribute in The Colony is semi-private with pretty decent rates. Really awesome course as well.

Indian Creek has two course which are usually in decent shape , but they do have the motorcycle style golf carts which are Hella fun time with the boys.

Not sure what has happened with Ridgeview's management because I always enjoyed the layout, but they've let it go to ***** Greens are poa-infested. I played it twice recently - a Friday afternoon followed by the next Tuesday. They had not moved the pins. Crazy. They did a nice job renovating their bunkers last year, but it's like they haven't spent a single $1 on the rest of it.

Sherrill got a new superintendent last summer and this guy has been making good progress. The last guy sucked ass so he had a lot of work to do, but there's been clear effort and steady improvement.

Sucks to hear about Ridgeview. I loved that course when I lived in the area.

I recently played The Bridges Golf Club in Gunter, and I was impressed. It's a hike up there for sure, but one of the more enjoyable rounds ive had in a while. The course was tough and the greens were complicated. It's quiet, countryside golf since it's so far up there. Big fan and I can't wait to get back.

How were the greens? Another poster said they were bad.

I played it at the end of January and I thought they were fine condition-wise, especially for winter golf.

Fast, undulating, and hard as hell though. Lotta crap like this.

Woodbridge is in good shape if you're looking in the Firewheel area.
