Headed to a wedding next weekend in Mineral Wells and looking to get a round of golf in, what's the best call?

Used to be Holiday Hills, in Mineral wells. Haven't been there in 20 years, assuming it's still there. Jacksboro isn't that far away- they had a 9 holer. Might try Weatherford area as well. Canyon West & Sugar Tree. Little farther drive, hit Glenn Rose or Stephenville. Good luck- except for Sugar Tree, I'm not in that area much these days.

Cliffs are awesome and expensive.

But the most beautiful 9 hole course I've played is in graham. Graham country club. Greens are perfect, and course is aways kept in great shape. I play about once a week.

Good call, since I've moved away from this area- forgot about Graham.

How did you manage to escape Wichita Falls?

Sugar Tree is the answer

Does Runaway Bay on Lake Bridgeport still have a golf course?

I played the municipal up in Wichita Falls a couple of years ago, and I can't believe it, I think they actually put some money into that place.

18 birdies shows both Bridgeport Country Club and The Club at Runaway bay are active public courses.

Sugar tree is great

Squaw Valley in Glen Rose isn't too far and 2 great courses.

Canyon West in Weatherford l have heard is great

Drive on up to Pecan Valley in FW by Hulen

White Stone in Benbrook

Oddly enough I grew up and Graham and never played the CC there

Got a reprieve, from a "life sentence". Been a HS coach for 40 years, most of it in Wichita County. The last 7 years have been in Lubbock area. End of May, I'll be retired.
Got a very good side gig at Golf Headquarters here. Three days a week, will pay for most of my bad habits.
