Howdy All,

Wife and I are taking a short trip to Denver the week of my birthday and I have been looking at places to play.

I narrowed my choices down to the three below and was wondering if anyone has experience on any of the courses.

From my preliminary research they all have about the same Slope rating and total yardage of my home course. My current front runner is Fox Hollow since I think it appears to be the prettiest view.

As for handicaps, the Wife just started playing and won't be playing her own shots. I am currently a 21 handicap.

Appreciate any more info or even other course suggestions, Thanks!

Raccoon Creek runs 5hr+ rounds constantly. Would stay away if possible.

Haven't played Todd Creek. If you're in that area, I'd recommend Riverdale Dunes instead.

Fox Hollow is solid, Canyon to Meadow is my preferred set-up if you can get it.

You can cross-post on the Around the Nation > Denver specific thread as well for additional responses.

Fox Hollow if it's only those three courses. But if you have a car the answer to this question is always, always, Bear Dance.

Bear Dance!

Those other three, all together sound like something from a bad Dukes of Hazzard episode.

Bear Dance is tough. Bring 6 extra golf balls.

Fossil ridge in golden is cool too.

I once nailed a Canadian goose at raccoon creek. I still feel bad because it was limping after that

Not sure I recommend Riverdale Dunes for a 21 handicapper. Pete Dye design and pretty punitive. Water in play on ten holes.

Cool course, just a hard track.

Thats how I feel about Fossil Trace

Beautiful course but some doozy holes for my current game

I think Fossil Trace is more tricked up than it is difficult.

Fossil is a fun course. Didn't find it overly difficult. Pretty average difficulty with a fun layout.

Pretty much all Jim Engh courses are somewhat tricked up.
