As of now, they don't plan to redo the pairings after round 3 in order to better assure a Sunday finish. That would mean he will be the first Am in the last group in round 4 since Venturi if my history is correct.

Hopefully with better conditions he can get those 2 strokes back and finish at even or possibly 1 under for round 3. I feel like if he does that he could possibly catch Rahm. With Rahm there's always the possibility of a blowup. Of course Rahm could just as likely go on a tear. I don't think he can catch Koepka unless there is a complete meltdown.

Great for Sam but I was really looking forward to seeing Rahm and Keopka in the final group. See if Brooks could handle that kind of pressure.

Of course, all the better if Sam had played his way into the final pairing.

A friend of mine that is in the press. It is fairly customary when they have to play most of the third round on Sunday because otherwise they have to wait until all play is done, set the pairings and tee time and give the first players around 30 -45 minutes to warm up.

They'll wait until everyone has completed round 3 and then reset for round 4. The way that reads, they'll go off in pairings (2) instead of groups (3).
