Curious who paid for his netjets flight back ?
The same type of people that would pay to play a round of golf with him. I would do it in hopes that maybe he could get me a ticket to a major at some point in the future.CapCity12thMan said:
who the hell is going to pay to carry a college kid's bag. Seriously.

Maybe a quick hit, but He won't need the "NIL" much longer. Just until the NCAA's are done. It's fixing to be just full blown Sponsors. So I'd say at least a milli. I just wonder what LIV would pay him right now ? Is he worth 20,30,40 million upfront for three years to them ? I can't imagine how much prize money he would win in addition to that if he went.
Actually, untrue for the US Open. The USGA relaxed the rule in 2019, starting in 2020, the previous year's US Amateur Champ can play in the US open either as an amateur or a pro.D Nauti said:
If he stays an amateur through the summer he gets to play the US and British Opens. Do that and you've got 3 majors and the US Amateur win under you belt and no stage is too big, he probably gets enough exemptions to go straight to the PGA or gets picked up by the LIV. I don't think he has the game to knock off some wins at the beginning, but he can defiantly make the cut and get paid regularly. If not for the weather he would probably have finished good enough to get get a Masters invite for next year.
It's really his only chance to use his exemptions and start competing to hopefully earn a card in year 1. Gotta get that experience. If he were to wait until the Open Championship, he would be too late in the season to make too much noise.Matsui said:
He said he is thinking about starting his pro career at the memorial or at colonial.

If LIV comes calling with $60 million, you say yes.
I agree. And I don't think he goes for 30 if its offered. I really don't think he goes for 60, but who knows. But knowing what i know now about life, I'd take the 60 if it was offered.Aggie369 said:
Don't think they offer him anything north of 30
I know some of the guys and what they were offered...hes not their caliber. If anything they will try to get him relatively cheap cause he's not a proven commodity yet

his "dream" might not be playing the PGAT. It might be making good money playing pro golf. Which could be done on LIV.Aggie369 said:
Yeah I agree, I wasn't saying 20 isn't worth taking
I don't think they would offer 20 though
Not sure what I would do...
Life changing money but not live out your dream...that's tough

LiV would be career suicide.
Sure, you might have money for life, but now one will ever see you play, nor would it be any meaningful golf.
