Heading there for the weekend a day earlier than expected and was looking to play tomorrow.

Is anyone able to help get me on? Thanks!

I'm no help getting you on but if you're looking to play and don't get on there, quite a few courses there in the area that are public. Delaware Springs in burnet would probably be your best course (been a while since I've been but layout is fun) and then Hidden Falls isn't all that nice but pretty cheap

McGee, the Burnet legend, had suggested Delaware Springs! Appreciate the tips!

Legends in Kingsland is solid and reasonably priced
Lighthouse in Kingsland is a notch below that, but still a good value
Delaware Springs is the best value you'll find just about anywhere

Man, Deleware is a nice course, but the management stinks lately. Always overbooked. Pace of play is terrible. Groups of 5 even on busy days.

Don't play late. They'll bring you back with an hour of daylight, too.

I prefer Legends. Not quite as nice of a course, but still decent, and pace of play is much nicer.

Lighthouse just aerated. Greens were in terrible shape two weeks ago. Doubt they are much better now.

I come up from Austin (when I'm in the States) to play Legends regularly. Nice course, although they screwed up #7 and #8 (especially #7) when they rerouted those holes a decade or so ago (they realized that having two greens right on the lake was taking up some very valuable real estate that could be sold for housing lots).

Cheap by Austin standards, and if you go early in the morning as I do, it never appears crowded. On the back nine, which winds through what's best described as "Central Texas pastureland", note they put water hazard stakes at many of the boundaries, so a ball that sails into the cacti can be dropped back on the course with a 1-stroke penalty...although the last time water flowed there an ark full of animals probably floated by, too.

I agree on #7 and #8 at Legends, However, that also helped save the course, as the re routing allowed for about 40 lakefront/lakeview lots that sold for 1/2M on average to be invested in the property

There's no arguing the economic reality of the decision. I fully understand it. However, #8 is a joke. I wish they had come up with something that's more in the keeping with the quality of the rest of the course. #7 is actually ok.

My daughter's HS team just got back from state tournament at Legends for the second straight year (4A) so I've seen a lot of that course. It's really neat. Front 9 (actually the front six) is a loop that goes through the pasture. No shade at all, decent holes, pretty wide open. 3 is a good par 5 that needs 3 good shots, 4 is a cool short par 3, then a 4 and 5 back to clubhouse. 7-9 make another loop back to clubhouse. 7 and 8 have been discussed, 7 is a cool hole with a big drop off. Tiny greens on 7 and 8. 9 is a good par 4 back to clubhouse. Back 9 has more variety, more shade, and some good par 4s. The brushy areas pinch in on some driving areas but as mentioned before it's red stake and not OB. 17 is a really cool downhill par 3 and 18 is a good medium length par 5 that you can reach but also needs a good tee shot to get in position. Overall a great course, every shot has a safe/bail out side and a "don't miss over here" side.

If it's hot get out early to get that front 6 done. Last year we started on 10 and played late both days and so we hit the wide open 6 hole loop around noon, sunny in the 90s. It was not enjoyable, to say the least.

The development has some insane lake houses and is just overall a really cool place. Wish I had no job and a lot of $$$ and I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Yes 8 is a joke and if you go a little long it is straight downhill to the crap. 7 is ok except that green is so small, with big drop off on the right, it's ridiculous.

#7 isn't perfect, but considering they had to reroute it, it's ok.
#8 is just such an obvious afterthought. The teebox is reall crappy. The green look like it was just created in some guy's pasture, and almost overlaps the old cart path. It just sucks, ok!?!?
Enough of my *****ing and moaning. I like the course overall, and highly recommend it regardless.
