Awesome tournament, always a favorite course to visit and spectate at!

That being said, this leader Harry Hall guy plays as slow as molasses.

Classic course and goes to show you that you don't need an 8000 yard course to test these guys.

LOL Grillo on 18. 2 shot lead, hits it in the concrete creek, and now it's washing back toward the teebox

Wow, those greens look terrible. Looking forward to seeing how that course looks next year after the 20 million dollar renovation.

Yea they didn't look great on closeups, but I bet they rolled true. Just coloring was off mainly.

We went for the first time Sunday since maybe 2016 and overall enjoyed ourselves.

My only real complaint is how little is aimed at the daily grounds ticket. Seemed like there were maybe 3 grandstands that weren't part of that insane all inclusive package. I assume covid started that and people paid it so it has stayed. Just tough to do with my older dad and have no real good spots to stop and to have the only real option be sit in the grass. Really missed the old bleachers on 8. Was a great spot to take a break in the shade. I get the money and they have to get it to keep the tourney with the sponsor issues, but man is it painful to see those things mostly empty earlier in the day.

Is that what is happening? I always assumed when I see empty "general" seating on the course it's not because of any kind of blocking off of those chairs. I remembered getting seats easy at the Colonial for instance at the green of hole 10. Is that no longer general? Also, the Colonial always had fewer stands in general to me than other tourneys.

It's amazing to see greens in person vs what you see on tv with all the filters. I remember as a kid at the Nelson I saw the tv coverage of the event on a hospitality tv and couldn't believe I was watching the same tournament.
Come Monday they will get a healthy dose of water and most likely will be punched to let them breathe after the stress of the week.

The field was awful this year. The new tier system is really going to hurt to Colonial and the Nelson. Used to be in the 80s and 90s, everybody came to these tournaments.

Yes it will. I thought I read the PGA Tour is going to rotate their designated events, so probably once every 4 years it will be a required event?

Part of that had to do with respect to Hogan and Nelson. Once they passed, it was easy for players to pass on a course they didn't like (Las Colinas), a course they thought was too hard (Colonial).

It's just a tough spot on the schedule, and it always was even before the PGA switch.

they were able to stress them a bit more this year because they didn't need to get it back ready for member play. The renovation begins immediately.
