My PW and SW are 44 and 54 degrees respectively. I've been looking at wedges and I really like the Hi-Toe design taylormade puts out.

I'm thinking getting a 50 degree and a 58 degree would fill my loft gaps perfectly.
Any thoughts on wedge choice or loft choices?

I'd agree with that. Could even skip up to 60 if you're good at flop shots

I play the high-toe line exclusively. I've got 52-56-60, but I do have 3 different 60s. 6-10-15 bounce. I don't really use the 15 anymore, but if it's just super sloppy and rainy I'll take it out.

My thinking on the 58 vs the 60 is that it is just a little bit more versatile than the 60 as far as playing a pitch from the fairway. And with a 10 degree bounce I could lay it over to act like a 60 when needed. Does that make sense or am I thinking to much?

I do 50/54/58

But I suck…so it's prob bad advice.

I like 50 and 60. I'm partial to the 60 because I'm not a fan of opening the face for more loft on the already high lofted wedge. Much more consistent on flops with just letting the loft do the work.

56 is highest lofted wedge I have and it's plenty fine for flops and what nots just by opening the face. Unless your playing in cabbage green side type of roughs I don't think a 60 is needed

PW - 46
W1 - 50
W2 - 54
W3 - 58

what is in my bag and I work on the Pelz system of having 3 swings for each - gives me 12 shots to play for any given situation.

I'm not a big fan of some super 60-64 lofted club - it's too specialty and would rarely get used (properly), IMHO.

I have 44 and 48.5 set wedges, but went up to 54 and 58 for my SW and LW. The distances work for me even though the gap between the set and SW seems bigger than it should be. Pay more attention to the distances than what you think the degree gap should be.

I used to carry a 64, but when I started tracking proximity to the pin with clubs, I found that my 58 was more accurate and consistent. Ditched the 64. (Hitting it was a lot more fun than the 58, though.)

I only carry:

PW - 45
GW - 50
SW - 56

And i use my 56 pretty sparingly. I feel like any lofts higher than that just get me into trouble more often then not. Also opens up a spot in my bag for a utility iron which i get a lot more use out of.

Just got a set of Vokey 50,54 and 58. Unbelievably easy to hit and feel great.

I have the Cleveland CBX wedges in 50, 54, and the 58 full face. I liked them better over my Vokeys.

My PW is a 45 so I play 50/54/58. All SM5s and ready to be upgraded

Grab a 50 and 58
If needed you can bend them to desired distances.
