Played Eagle Vail while hosting a group of 24 there last week. Had some construction going on around the clubhouse and on one hole, but didn't impact play. GREAT track and super folks to work with. Give it another couple weeks and will be in pristine shape.

Highly recommend.

Heading up that way next weekend. Currently only have one round booked right now at keystone ranch, thinking we may try to sneak away to vail and play that course while the wife and family stroll through vail

Is Raven @ 3 Peaks back in decent shape? We were told to AVOID it a couple of years ago… which is a shame because there are some awesome holes out there.

It's been worse. They had the course builder come out and do a 7 figure makeover, re-did all the sand traps,. Greens are about an 8-9/10 now vs 2019-2020 when it was pretty bad. Got to meet the super from the original build, who was running the makeover. They cut out 1/3 or the traps or so, and are keeping the rough and fairways short this year to get the pace up.

If anyone is in the area, shoot me a PM and see if we can shoot a round, there or elsewhere. I'm now on theGrint also.

I played raven 4 years ago and it was horrendous shape. Like absolutely goat ranch stuff. Keystone river on the other hand is incredible

About when do the mountain courses usually start shutting down for the winter? Would the first week of October probably be too late for mountain golf?

As i said, it's not the same as then. Ownership has also changed hands since you played.

They punch Raven the first week of October, before the first hard freeze/snow. I think they are open until mid October, but I ship the clubs back south the date the schedule the aeration for. The rest of the area is similar.

Moved to CO last year and didn't know about Keystone courses playing there tomorrow so thanks for the heads up I'm pumped!

Played both Keystone courses. Loved Keystone River. The views from some of those elevated tee boxes are spectacular.

I played Raven last year and it was in fine shape. Cool track.

Also really liked Keystone Ranch (didn't play the river course)

We had a blast, there was one par 3 that the tee was crazy high. Think I hit an 8i from 200 or so. Great place

Played keystone ranch this past Tuesday and it was "interesting". Course layout was awesome I thought, and course was in great conditions. However, wind was blowing steady 40-50mph for most of the round. Marshall's at the course said they've never seen it that bad ever out there. With the elevation and wind the course was a *****. I somehow managed to shoot an 83. Felt like a 93. One of the par 3's was playing 164 and with the elevation/wind a gap wedge was still about twenty yards too much. It was nuts.

Balls were being blown off the greens, etc. it was insane

That would be wild with the wind ripping down that valley.

Just lmk when you're here. They have The Valley, the Mountain, and the summit par 3 course. Mountain course is my fav.

Edwards - turn off is just past the mobile home park.

My plan is to run that way in late Aug or September. Try to hit the courses in Eagle Co along I70

Played Vail many years ago when I was in High School. Could only get a 7 a.m. tee time because President Ford was playing that afternoon for his birthday. Cold as you-know-what that early in the morning. Great course.
