Are they still in bad shape ? Anyone played there recently ? Thanks

Completely agree - unsure what happened but it's brutal.
Fwiw they don't warn you before either.

Man, it's such a promising course and it's been in good or great shape when I've played it (probably 5-10 times since it was redone), but they sure seem to have problems maintaining it. Between losing the greens multiple times, the driving range being shut down, etc, that's not how you want to run a couse.
I play the campus course routinely and have been as critical and skeptical as anyone regarding the greens this year. In fairness though, #18 (pictured) is the only green they have yet to begin any major remediation work.Visor said:

Unsure what the rates are supposed to be.
Still $50 twilight friday.
Another reason I need to join a CC……
Here's a picture from a similar spot on #18 green yesterday. You can see they laid sod at the front, sides, and a portion of the back on Monday.Visor said:

I played about a month ago. I was excited to get back to College Station and I hadn't played our course in years. I knew something was up the moment that I rolled out to the driving range (which looks like the Serengeti). It literally looked like they give zero fuggs to first impressions. We teed off and upon approaching the 1st green, we had our next disappointment. This repeated itself many times thruout the round. We're an agriculture school. We are fortunate to have a large tract of land where we can have an on campus golf course. But, you're right - it's embarrassing and pathetic that basic care to this asset is ignored.AustinCountyAg said:

dang that sucks. I was going to be down there later this week and hang out while my son was at soccer camp. I hadn't seen/played the course since they renovated it. Any other options for public golf there other than the one in Navasota?
