I have shot even and -1 for 9 holes before, but never put a full 18 together until last night. Teed off at 6:15 and had the course to myself. I really wasn't paying attention until I birdied 17 and suddenly realized if I birdie 18 I shoot 72. hit a great drive, put the approach to around 9' and sank the putt. I've been working really hard the last year and half and last night it finally came together.

Edit- played the gold tees, around 6500 yards.

Nice! Impressive to birdie 17 & 18 to pull it off. When those thoughts start to creep into my head is usually when the wheels fall off for me.

I've never broken par on 9 holes that i can remember. The last round i played i was -1 thru 8 with a short par 5 coming up. Easy peasy.. I proceeded to blast my drive straight out of bounds. Carded an 8...

Nice!

When I came to Texas I started playing at the old Bryan Golf Course. I kept a scorecard in my bag until I had recorded a birdie on every hole, took me about 2 years. In the 20 or so years I played that course, at least in every Saturday and Sunday in skins games, I carded 17- 70's which is flat par. I did it in a number of ways from a bunch of birdies and bogeys to 18 pars etc. One day in the fall of 97, after a skins game I played a second round with my normal skins group. I get to #16 tee (par 4) just as the sun is setting, and hit my tee ball and I am -4. 17 and 18 are reachable par 5's. We run out of daylight. That was 26 years ago and still the closest to a sub par round I have ever had. BGC was a fairly easy course at 6300 or so from the tips, but it had a couple tough par 3's.

Lake Windcrest up in Magnolia. Been a member there a little over a year. Really like it. not quite as challenging as Golfcrest but does have some holes that will get you.

Well done! 74 is my low. I went 40-34 that day!

My current course, 18 is the hardest hole on the course by a ways....gonna be hard to get there unless I come in 2 under through 17!

Really nice round at Lake Windcrest… not an easy one. There's probably a Heavy Putter still in at tree left of 8 green… assuming there are still trees left of 8 green. It's been a while, I was young and stupid then. I digress… I'll get to know you hanging out with me over on the F Golf thread.

My best round ever I had a 3 or 5 on the first 13 holes. I pared the par 3s and par 5s. Had one more bogie than birdies on the par 4s. Finished the route 5 over.

Good stuff. I've never played there but I'll have to check it out at some point. So many golf options on the north side.

Congrats again.

Well done! That's a legit challenge that non-golfers don't understand. I've had 2 even par or better nines, but never a full 18, best I've managed was a 4 over 76 at Cottonwood in Waco, with an even par back nine. I did have a round once where I was +9 through 5 holes and played 1 under the rest of the way for a 43 37= 80. Golf…

Well done - must be an amazing feeling.

I can remember ONE time being even par on Hole 11…. Of course, I started on the 10th.

That's how it is at my home course in Sienna Plantation.

Just a monster of an 18 with crap everywhere.
