B/CS Ags, ever play at Mr. Adam's course? Is it really amazing?

Played about 7/8 years ago. Pretty great spot and very impressive club house. It's worth it to play it once if you can just to experience it.

I played Thursday and a little over a month ago during the work week around 4:30. Was able to finish before sundown because no one is playing then. The member I was with says it's always like that except on weekends. Course is well kept. Greens are pure. Clubhouse is solid. They need better head cover options though. Paid 140$

Beautiful fun course almost always in immaculate shape.

It is a pretty amazing place and def worth playing if you can get out there. I find the layout to be pretty forgiving, particularly off the tee. And as others have said greens roll true, but not always the fastest in my experience.

I played it when they were doing that Hurricane Harvey relief and they offered up tee slots to the open public.

Wow!

Miramont has taken a step up in conditioning in the past year or two. Green speed is consistently 10-11 which is perfect as the greens have considerable contour. Weekly verticutting takes out most of the grain. Some of the finest Tif Eagle greens in the state. Tamer in the winter with no rough but the rough is at least a 1/2 shot penalty in some areas this time of year. Very good course architecturally speaking.

Played it last year and it was fantastic. Greens were awesome. Most importantly it was a fun course to play.

$50k is less than I thought it would be TBH. would love to play there one day.

It's a different kind of club. Mr. Adam subsidizes it, which is why our initiation and dues are so reasonable. Memberships aren't equitable, so you can't sell it, and you've gotta have 3 current members "vouch" for you to be accepted. Property within Miramont doesn't come with a membership. Most of the A&M coaches (all sports) are members as well as most of the BMAs. Our golf teams actually play at Miramont much more than they play at Traditions.

It's a great club. Hardly busy enough to need a tee time most days. But there's a good chunk of us who have quietly made a pact to not sponsor anymore prospective members so that it stays that way!

Just played Pebble Creek for first time in like 10 years. It's still a fun course but has a little issue with a few greens. It did not bother us at all. It was my turn to host these out of towners and they all tease me about wanting to play Marimont and I tell them when pigs fly! Maybe someday!

Played it several times with a friend of mine who was one of the pros. I asked how many members they had because it seemed like we were the only ones on the course. He said all they really need is the one member.

Had a friend who was a pro out there early on, one day I asked how many rounds they averaged a week. He said 8-10. I said how many members do y'all have? H said we only need 1

Played it a few years ago on the way to Austin to do Barton Creek and Horseshoe Bay. Miramont was easily my favorite of the trip. Beautiful course with some really cool holes.

I worked there during college as well...unfortunately a little before COVID times, though, haha

Really is an awesome course. Not sure if it's changed, but when I worked there we basically played whenever we wanted, just knew not to bother or be in the way of any members. Yeah, ruined golf for me, too

I've played Miramont, but I've never heard of Marimont.
