Off the top of my head, Golf Club of Houston, Traditions, High Meadow Ranch. In that order.

I agree, these are the 3 and can make a case for any order depending on preference. Personally, I'm a big fan of highland pines but biased because it's a new track.

Definitely recommend checking it out. The layout makes for a fun round.

The condition that Cypresswood is in right now would push it to probably the fringe top 3. Their Cypress course (2nd best of the 2) has been in immaculate shape lately.

Agree it's a good one. Really like the design and feel of course. Also like the no concrete cartpaths.

Yeah, to me, there's 4:

High Meadow Ranch
Highland Pines
Tradition at Cypresswood
GCoH

They're all really good.

If you count A&M as North Houston (LOL), mine would be:
1) A&M's course in the front of the campus
2) Tour 18 near Humble-old but fun (kinda like a hot ****)
3) Any public course in the Woodlands

I thought tour 18 had gone way down in the last 10-15 years

As recently as 6 months ago, I'd say it was worth the price of admission.

I keep hearing it's made a decent comeback over the past year, but haven't been out there to play it myself.

I know it obviously isn't the point of the thread…but what would y'all say are your top 8-10 between say Cypress and Humble and what do they cost.

Tour 18 is always I'm good shape but it's run by complete idiots and a holes.

Last time we went I booked a tee time only to find out it was smack dab in the middle of a scramble. Must've been a slot they couldn't fill.

Pissed me off to no end

Played High Meadow last Sunday they recently punched the greens and its cart path only which is working to try and keep the grass together as much as you can in this heat.

Windrose and Tomball CC are cart path only until it rains again…probably the norm for the area.

Ya I am a member at Tomball it is cart path. The drought is very rough on the courses.

I was just wanting to let anyone know that maybe wanted to play High Meadow to be prepared to do carts path only.
