I've searched this forum but haven't found any answers besides PXG and Impact Precision. I heard PXG is great experience but you are limited to their clubs. Impact is an hour drive for me, and I've used them before.

Are there any recommendations for a good fitter on the west side of Houston, preferably Katy area but will drive if needed. I've been told to avoid the places like PGA Superstore and Dick's for fitting. Thanks.

I had a very good fitting from Benjamin at PGA Superstore.

I was fitted for PXGs (not for me) and I was also fitted at Impact Precision by Major, who I've heard has moved on.

The guy at PGA superstore told me Benjamin was fantastic. Wasn't sure if that was just internal sales pitch or not. Good to hear it from someone who has used him. I've heard the ones at places like that are just average Joe's using a trackman and to avoid them as they aren't skilled at fitting.

I would.

He fit me for a driver. He ran me through them all with several shaft options. I ended up with a Cobra, which I never would have picked.

Titleist has set up shop at Royal Oaks

Look into Axis Golf which is at Blackhorse Golf Club. It's located in the backside of the driving range. I don't have personal experience with them but I've heard they are expensive but do a good job. I personally go to Impact Precision. Another place to check out would be GolfTec.
