After Round 1 the Aggies are in 9th place as a team with a +4. South Carolina is leading the pack at -14.

Individually, three players are tied for the lead at -5, one from Auburn and two from South Carolina.

Just checked tee times for the morning. Aggies start at 7:50 on the first hole. Ten minutes between each of them.

They're having a good round today (a little over 1/2 way through).

South Carolina is on fire again, so far at -8 today. Aggies are next at -4. Have moved from 9th overall to T3, with still a few holes to go. Great job today, Ags !!!

Back 9 has been rough on our Aggies. Now at +2 on the day and back to T9 as a team.

I will be out for awhile and will not be able to follow the last few holes, darn it.

Only 4 teams shot better today but we are tied for 7th place at 7 over. 6 teams from 5 over to 8 over.

Thanks for the update! I have been out for awhile and was not able to watch the last part of today's round. I think they go to match play tomorrow but will have to check. I am not a fan of match play and it always makes me nervous!

I believe the top 8 after 3 rounds go to match play with the quarters and semis Thursday and the finals on Friday.

They are paired with MS State and Arkansas.

when i add up the scores for top 4 it doesn't add up to the totals. did they change the way that scores are counted?

It has South Carolina at -14 and it is showing -22.

very poor start. Four of our five are over par with two of them notching a triple on a hole. Team will have to dig deep and also hope other team's struggle.

Definitely not the way to start. Possible to clean it up and make the top 8 but will be tough. Will have to hope the three underclassmen play like they are capable of playing. Think positive !!

The team was 12 over on the front 9. Next highest front 9 score was 3 over by USC.

Feel bad for Chadwell and the girls. Hopefully, they find their way to a regional and can redeem themselves.

They would have had to play even par today to tie for 8th place. When is the NCAA Tournament field announced?

Sophomore Cayetana finished at T7 (-2), freshman Vanessa at T37 (+5) and sophomore Sky at T43 (+6) were the top scoring Ags.

I also feel bad for the team and coaches. Cayetana did well but overall it was a really bad day on the course for them. Front nine worse than the back nine but still not good at all. But, everyone has bad days and this will happen. They are certainly better golfers than I have ever been! I saw that the three SC girls who were eating up the course the past two days also had off days so I wonder if it was windy.

I do not know when the NCAA's will start but will watch for the announcement and pass it on. If someone catches it before me please post it here.

I will post the press release with the breakdown later on today, after it comes out.

I think their depth will be much better next year. Adela going pro really hurt their depth. With the recruits coming in they should be really good over the next couple years.

I was really saddened by Adela going pro but it was certainly understandable after she won the qualifier and simply could not pass up the opportunity. If I recall correctly she had to go pro to play in the next one so she had that really tough choice to make.

I post the following occasionally in anticipation of next Fall and Spring. Really tends to give me a smile !!

Start recruiting more elite foreigners if you're not already. That's the trick in college golf & tennis.
