Yes, she is from Montgomery. She transferred from tu, played two years in Aggieland. Lauren was on the team with her.

Hailee through 9, Lauren through 8 (second round)

Hailee - if she plays the same the rest of the round she should make the cut
Lauren - in last place, has no chance

Vanessa tees off at 12:30 - has to have a really good round to make the cut.

C'mon, girls !!

After round two, Hailee finished at T24, she will make the cut. Lauren finished at 156, in last place. Vanessa will tee off about 12:30. She is at +4. Leader at -7 and several tied for 2nd at -4. If she has a good round, and she is fully capable of doing so, she can also make the cut.

Go Vanessa !!!

Recall that their opponents are some of the best female golfers in the world so that's something to think about.

Vanessa finished at T105 with a +6 overall.

Wellll, at least she can say she played in the US Open !!

Hailee made the cut.

Second round was suspended because of darkness yesterday. Play has resumed this morning. Some players have to play two holes and others three to finish. No idea the amount of time between the finish of the round and the start of the third round but I'll keep an eye on it. Hope Hailee does well !!

Hailee's round ended a wee bit ago. She has shot 71, 72, 72 for a -1 and currently tied for 13th with golfers still playing. She has certainly been consistent!

Hailee stayed at T13 at the end of the day. Six strokes behind the leader. Pretty darn good!

Tied for 8th but with players on the course. IF she finishes at T8 will mean about a $338,000 payday. Pretty darn good !!!

T7. Cool seeing her briefly on the leaderboard widget before they reduced it to the top 3.

About $358K and a guaranteed spot in next year's U.S Open. Quite a week for Hailee.

Not as familiar with the LPGA. Does this get her into any other LPGA events? Seems like she's halfway to a top 100 LPGA finish (per 2024 totals) with the points from this T7.

Pretty sure Korda was top American.

Yep, Korda was the top American, my mistake. Good catch!

I do not know if it automatically gets her into other LPGA events but a person wrote above that she is automatically entered into next year's U.S. Open, a very nice bonus! I read about the different Epson cards when Adela was still playing and I seem to remember some of the cards 'allowed' a holder to enter a few LPGA events each year. The better their card, the more LPGA events (and Epson events) they can enter. If someone here knows more about this please let me know. And by winning or doing really well at some tournaments they qualify for some tournaments like the U.S. Open.

If Hailee keeps playing well she will earn an LPGA card for next year - good for her! Adela earned her LPGA card last December but has not done as well as she did in college or in the qualifying tournaments but I think she will get better!

It's difficult for me to find any relevant info on the LPGA or epson tour websites. I know top 10 on the epson at season end get full LPGA cards for the following year. #11-15 get limited cards. Sitting at #8 currently, that's looking promising.

She just got a good sponsor and now has won $400k ish this year ($50k from Epson). Seems like that finish would get her at least sponsor exemptions into future LPGA tournaments. Which seems great except she's already on pace to get her tour card from the Epson Tour.

So if she plays more LPGA tournaments instead of epson starts and doesn't get enough points to stay on the tour, she could also fall outside the top 15 of the Epson tour as well. Potentially a tough decision.
