Didn't know if this belonged in the F-golf or Love-Golf thread. My daughter is 11 and has played since she could hold a plastic club. She plays STPGA, PGA Jr and a travel team now.
It was bound to one day happen and finally did. 92 at the Campus course yesterday from the men's tees, my 11yo shot 90 from the yellows.
She called everyone she knew last night to tell them that she finally "beat daddy".
Kind of bittersweet for me because we both played really poorly (which I'll blame on pace of play nearly 6 hrs), but as I always tell her a W is a W. She got me. I just wish it was a better round for us, last year at Briarcrest she came close 77-78 and I wish it was 77-78 yesterday, but alas it was big crooked numbers. I wish I could have held her off for another year or 2 but wasn't in the cards.
Fgolf, I love golf
