How long do you want to ignore this user?
Have been playing with a Hogan sand wedge for years and it's fine. It doesn't match my set of irons, which has kinda bothered my o.c.d.

Came across an exact match for my set at a garage sale and picked it up for $5. What I notice about it now is that the sole is probably 1/3 the width of my Hogan. I'll bet I take more strokes with that club than any other in my bag (except putter?). What could you expect to be noticeable pros and cons of situational shots with those two clubs? I am by no means a serious golfer but don't mind doing a little equipment analysis like this.

Thanks.

I am assuming you are referring to the bounce. The hogan has less so typically used for tighter lies and firmer contortions. Higher bounce the opposite.

Most teaching pros recommend more bounce for most recreational golfers. Easier to hit once you learn how to use the bounce.
