Just curious if anyone's been to the US open lately. When do tickets become available ? Are they pretty easy to come by ? Do they sell each ticket as a daily pass ?

Thanks !

No idea but I'm really eyeing the '27 US Open at Pebble. That's one I'd like attend.

I went to Pinehurst last year for a practice round, Wednesday. Had a ticket for the Carolina Club. They had turned the learning center building into a private club. Full bar, food pretty much all day long and air-conditioned bathrooms. You didn't really have a good view of a hole itself, but was centrally located. I would do that again in a heart beat. Having a spot with AC was worth every penny…..

Edit….sorry, didn't really answer your questions. I bought the ticket 3 weeks prior thru a secondary market, AXS. It was tied to the tournament so it was legit. It was a last minute trip, so not sure when the initial tickets actually got issued. I think you can already buy tickets for 2026 if you want.

Long time bump, but here are my thoughts. First off, do it if you can. The Open is about the courses and how they make it Open ready. I've been to Shinnecock, Pebble, Pinehurst and this year at Oakmont. All of them were special experiences for the golf fan although my favorites were Shinnecock and Oakmont. Television doesn't show the course adequately.

To your question, the USGA sells the tickets on their website and it's usually not a problem to get them until possibly a few months before the tournament. The bigger issue is a place to stay. With vrbo and Airbnb it is somewhat easier. All of the accommodations are prepared for the event so it's usually pricey. If you want to go, I would recommend to secure your accommodations sooner rather than later. Also, the USGA does a great job with logistics in getting you in to the course. The bus system at all of the ones I've been to have been top notch.

Good luck and if you have any questions, ask away!
