I heard that golf at the resort in La Jitas had really gone up since I was last there. I was hoping that it was just a seasonally high rate.

I have an Aggie friend there now. He texted me this morning that green fees are now $295 year round.

Glad I played it when I did. Most fun course I have ever played. But doubt my group will ever go back. My friend said there are 100 carts sitting at the pro shop and no one teeing off while he was there. Maybe that lack of business will drop the rates one day.

Last time I played there it was around $165 a round. I now have 2 friends who have been there this year and both reported the $295/round.

And the friend this morning said that was not a seasonal rate. That was the year around rate.

The rate was $295 when I was out there a year ago as well. Once I got to hole 4 (the par 5), I was like "Ahhh, I see!" It's like moon golf for a flat lander like me.

Being that good public golf in Houston is almost always $80-$100+, $295 for an experience like Lajitas isn't that out of whack, IMO.

Buddy was just there. $295 stay at resort rate.

Where do you live that flying to El Paso and driving was your option?
