Any advice for a group of 8?

I assume you will be staying there? I think that is how you get on.

If you're considering driving out to Lakeside for one of the rounds I'd suggest skipping it. It's not bad by any means, but I think it's a noticeable notch below the other three in addition to being kind of a hike out there.

My ranking of the courses on the main property:

1 - Foothills (love the back nine)
2 - Canyons (hosting PGA Tour event in Nov, tough course)
3 - Coore Crenshaw (greens always kick my ass)

I've played them all a bunch and the conditions have always been great. Solid clubhouse food too.

Foothills is the best overall course. Canyons is the best views and yes there are some very tough target golf type areas at times. Crenshaw is the resort course and it's absolutely obvious that it is that, though it's still fun and might serve as a great 1st round.

Agree on Lakeside. It's just so freaking far away. There are some absolutely beautiful holes out there though so depending on how you structure the trip I suppose it could work.

Personally think canyons is head and shoulders above the rest, if you can get on and personally I love the Crenshaw course. I've never really meshed with foothills, a lot of great holes but a lot of uninteresting holes.

As everyone said, skip lakeside but the other three should keep you occupied with a great time.

I can tell you that foothills greens are ROUGH right now. If you are playing there soon expect the be disappointed in green conditions for what you are paying to be there.
