Kid does golf classes and his coach said the only thing holding him back are his irons…. low end Callaway edge
Told the coach I wasn't buying good clubs until he was good enough swingwise. Coach said, he's good enough.
Said the irons are too flexible and he doesn't need offset club (had to look that up).
So any ideas on decent clubs for him? He does have a free fitting at PGA store, so I figured he could tryout some used clubs they have.
A bit funny but they were hitting driver today on a two sided range and one side had the tee boxes forward, so the range was 311 yards. Coach saw my kid not hitting with full effort, my son said he was afraid to hit the people on the other end. Coach said, go ahead and hit will full effort you won't hit anyone, so my kid blasts his next shot over 290…and the coach told him to switch to his 3 wood….ha
