Finished DFL out of 165 entries at the players. Not happening again.

Made a quick spreadsheet w the metrics I think are important.

Then calculated in what percentile any given player is for that category.

Added a reference cell to use to calculate if players are above a certain percentile for any category, then added a column that calculated how many categories said player was above the chosen percentile cutoff.

If I do DFL again I'm going to give up

Who are the top picks in each pool for the Masters app? We have ten guys throwing $100 each and I think the rosters are going to be very similar.

Alright, i performed poorly again. Part of the issue is that this model, at best, will only make you perform better than the field long term. Even if i never win, ive had fun making this sheet.

Changed a couple things for moving forward.

1. Initially scored players based on how many stat categories they were > some percentile of the field, and then just counted boxes. issue with that was that it treated everone above the cutoff the same. To fix, i made each category weighted, so that I could multiply percentile * Wt and get a score for each categore, as well as an overall score.

2.Changed some of the scoring categories, as there were a couple instances of redundency. Categories used for scoring are now:

• SG Off the Tee
• SG Approaching the Green
• SG Around Green
• SG Putting
• Birdie Avg

* Also have secondary stats (Driving acc, total driving, GIR, Scrambling, Total Putting) but do not score them... more for tiebreakers.

3. Added "Value" tags

• Player outside top 30 OWGR AND top 15 model rank ------> "Elite Value"
• Player 16-30 OWGR AND top 25 Model Rank -------> Strong Value
• Player Inside top 15 OWGR AND top 10 Model Rank------> Top Tier

4. Also added the ability to compare predictions to actual results to judge accuracy.

If anyone would like to look at it and tell me what they think id love the feedback.... Not 100% sure these are even the best stats to use, but im kinda learning as i go
