BIRMINGHAM -- Texas A&M's Vanessa Borovilos, Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio and Brynn Kort earned All-SEC recognition Friday, the league office announced.

Borovilos (SO) and Fernandez Garcia-Poggio (JR) garnered All-SEC First Team accolades, becoming the first Aggie teammates to be named to the SEC first team since Bianca Fabrizio Marijosse Navarro and Maddie Szeryk in 2015. Kort was named to the All-Freshman Team, joining teammates Borovilos and Fernandez Garcia-Poggio as Aggies to earn the honor in three-consecutive years.

Borovilos leads the Aggies with a 71.10 stroke average. The Canadian finished runner-up at the SEC Championship and won the Moon Golf Invitational earlier this season. The sophomore is ranked No. 11 on the Scoreboard Individual Ranking, and this marks her first time on the league's first team, after landing on the All-SEC Second Team last year.

Fernandez Garcia-Poggio was named to the first team for the second time in her career. The junior is ranked No. 21 in the country. Fernandez Garcia-Poggio claimed victory at the Carmel Cup and has a career record of 7-2-1 in match play and 5-0 at the SEC Championship.

Kort is the seventh golfer for the Maroon & White to earn All-Freshman Team accolades. The Kingman, Arizona, native has a 72.72 stroke average, which currently ranks as the seventh best freshman season in program history.

The Aggies were recently selected as the No. 1 seed of the Waco Regional. The regional takes place May 11-13 at the Ridgewood Country Club.
