Playing 3 rounds in an annual guys trip in PS, already playing one of the JW courses and looking for 2 more ideas. We're looking for great courses but not super difficult like the Dye course at PGA West.

Thx

Indian Canyons or Indian Wells would be good options

We're staying in Indian Wells, will check these out, thanks!

Buddy's BIL has a badass house there that we stay at. He's a member of El Dorado but I think it's closing for course repairs by then.

Theres two Dye courses at PGA West. The Mountain Course is notably easier than the stadium course. The views are incredible and its a super fun track.

The Celebrity course at Indian Wells is really fun too.

Played 5 rounds last weekend. If you are staying at JW play the valley course.

1. Classic Club - Great surrounding views/greens. Tough off tee box.
2. PGA Stadium - Perfect conditions. Hard to hold the greens
3. PGA Tournament - Great course. Get an early tee time or be prepared for 7hr round
4. Shadow Ridge - Good course. Every green/fairway is protected by bunkers.
5. JW Marriot - Fun easy course, great conditions just nothing too special in terms of play.

I did a week long Palm Springs golf trip about 10 years ago with 3 buddies. We drove over and played Torrey one day. One buddy's dad used to play on tour and would always take groups out there to play. Via his dad's connections we were able to play all 36 holes at Bighorn and that course was phenomenal.

He better still be your buddy, lol. I was in Carlsbad, CA last weekend and had a tee time at Aviara but decided to cancel and spend the day in some of the beach towns. Regretting it now.

And my buddy's BIL is also a member of Pine Valley, no lie. He played at Tech a long time ago, lives in Austin and Ben Crenshaw sponsored him. Would love to get the invite to go up there someday!
