I'm only seeing all inclusive daily ticket options and other packages. No single entry only tickets. Saturday/Sunday are $300+ per ticket which includes a meal and non-alcoholic beverage.

Anyone find just a basic entry ticket?

I think that is just how it works for the PGA. Crank up the ticket price but food/bev covered. Had a friend that went last year and that was the case.

Got Tuesday practice round tickets. Did this last year at Quail Hollow and the food/bev inclusion is nice. Of course alcohol is not included in that but you can make your money back pretty quick with how expensive some of that stuff is.

Don't think your group matters if you're in the Chase presale. I got mine today and was in group D also.

Check your junk email.

Fortunately I live within a few miles so I'll probably try and snag tickets same day for people trying to dump any extra tickets.

A golf buddy and I decided to volunteer. Figured a major hasn't been held in Texas nearly 60 years, may as well be a part of this one in some small way. We signed up to do 3 shifts (4ish hours each) of working the Shotlink tech. "Volunteering" still costs $250, but that gets you 2 polos, a pullover, a hat, and tournament access/food for all 7 days whether you are working or not

You don't need a Chase e-mail. Just go to the website and enter the first six digits of your card number when it asks for the code.

I signed up as a volunteer through my club (Gentle Creek) as well. We marshal the first hole. I did it for the Sr. PGA a few years ago as well. We rotated throughout the hole. Being on the first tee for the introductions was great, so I'm really looking forward to being there when the big boys come through.

Rory said it best:

"If venues in golf matter to you, it maybe puts a little bit more pressure on you," McIlroy said. "So, I'd love to win an Open at Portrush, absolutely. I'd love to win an Open at St. Andrews. I'd love to win a U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. I'd love to win a PGA at PGA Frisco -- not [laughs].

So if you volunteer do you have to be available the whole week or just a certain few days?

You have to work at least 3 shifts, which are basically half-days. They allowed us to pick which days/portions of days we are available (AM, PM, or both/either) and asked if we are willing to work a double shift. For Shotlink, we had a conflict on Thursday but said we were good Friday-Sunday but not willing to work a double.

I assume the days just depends on the job as some may have all 7 days to choose from, but for Shotlink, the only need is on actual tournament days (logically). Looks like there are a few marshal jobs left while most of the rest are off-course jobs. Honestly, the best one of those might be willing to be a driver for the players lol. I work with a guy that marshaled at a Ryder Cup in Rochester, his main complaint was they had their back to the shot a lot while holding their arms up to quiet the crowd.

I volunteer for player transportation at the Byron Nelson and am doing the same in Frisco next year. I can confirm it is a pretty good/easy gig.

I went to Tulsa a couple years ago. It's not a bad deal if you're there all day. Food is good quality, widely available across the course with plenty of options for each meal and snacks in between.

I signed up for the chase presale just to see. Live in Humble so gotta add transportation costs too.

But even if I lived in DFW...and I have friends I could ask to crash with....at $300+ for weekend tix and its not like Thursday/Friday were lower enough to be considered good deals....I won't be going

I can sit in front of a TV...see way more golf....and still go out to eat for a kickass dinner for much less than that!!

Now seeing the post above about the volunteer deal....that's a good deal. Go work Friday-Sunday mornings and stay for the rest is a deal by itself. Getting any clothes/food/bev is icing on the cake.

And I can tell you from volunteering at the SHO many years that driving folks in a cart around is an easy and fun gig. Met Justin Rose's agent doing that
