Gas fireplace gets weak over time

I've got a gas fireplace that starts off strong and then after about 10 minutes the flame weakens to a small flame (when on full strength).

Any thoughts?

by chance is it about 40 years old?

House was built in 2020, I bought it this last June

Then it's likely not enough oxygen, but you can try a blue pill just to be sure.

Mine would go out after 10 or 15 minutes. Vented horizontally through external wall. Increased size of exterior vent pipe and fixed the problem

Because our Home Depot gas log kit was getting
dangerous like you described and a pain to light,
replaced it by AAA Overhead Doors & Fire. Pro done, happy ever since.

open the front glass and light it. if it continues to burn, air flow is your problem. cheap, easy fix. If it still goes out you've ruled out the most likely issue.
