That's not a barn. It's a carport.

Challenges I've had in the past with projects like this are durability of road base surfaces and costs of materials. The road base is good for general light use, but in a years time, especially if wet, that stuff tends to get gooey and may wash away. Also, heavy use of tandem axle trailers are hard on it as well. Costs, well, not a bit shock materials are high. Concrete is high, which would solve the first concern.

It can get nasty if the material is not properly crowned or compacted. Good standard or state spec roadbase should firm up and compact like concrete and if its crowned, the fines should wash away from surface and keep it from being gewy.
The clean rock topper is another alternative for preventing the muddy issue when crowning is not possible or the material onsite does not have a good mixture of rocks and fines.
In terms of cost......its the most cost effective material around for driveways or pads, An alterative is crushed concrete but there is consistency issues with it and they can be very dusty, sometimes impossible to grade etc.
We had to stop offering it a long time ago.

I'm interested and will give you a call.

Driveway job is a few miles from Kurten near FM 1179.

Also need culvert and boxblade work fixing drainage once it dries up from the rain this weekend.
