Dishwasher not spraying water

Few weeks ago we noticed a lack of water in our dishwasher (pod wasnt disolving and the dishes weren't cleaned).
Heat inside works and there was a little water in the bottom so the dishes were all damp and hot at the end of the cycle.
Went to HD and got a new water line hose, replaced it and magically it worked like normal again…for a few cycles. Back to the same issue.
Took the hose off, switched ends around, took the gold connector piece off under the washer and cleaned it, took the upper and lower sprayer arms off inside and cleaned them (they are clean and spin just fine) and its still not working.
a couple things I have noticed:
1-there is a small hole on the inside left wall where we noticed just a small amont of water coming in, one time when we opened it mid-cycle to see if it was working. this is where the water at the bottom was coming from. no water is coming out of the sprayer arms.

2- duri g times where you would normally hear alot of internal action/spraying going on, it seems like we're now just hearing a motor running below.

thoughts/suggestions?

How old is dishwasher?
- a few thoughts:
1. Drain line could be clogged/obstructed
2. Does the disposal still work? If disposal is jammed then dishwashers will typically hold waters/not complete their cycle.
3. Could be a bad pump and time to get a new dishwasher.

Would the drain line have an impact on the abilty for water to enter the machine though?
Disposal works great with no issues.

Was just throwing out options. But, if the drain line is clogged then it will prevent the cycle from completing and usually sends an error message. Will result in standing water in dishwasher. If you don't have standing water then it could be the pump, fill valve, like the other poster mentioned

You are gonna have to do some disassembly. Take the racks out and start unscrewing things on the bottom. The ones I have messed with were pretty easy to take apart. Just keep taking stuff off and cleaning any filters or pinch points until you find the broken part, or you find what is clogging. My money is on a piece of plastic blocking the intake.

If over 5-6 years old, then replace DW with a much better grade this time

Agree with advice: appliance parts pros.com

as well as clearing blockage ideas

Other than these, would love to read about something odd that you got fixed

When this happened to mine, it turned out to be obstructions at the grinder at the bottom. I took off a few parts at the bottom and found glass and ceramic shards as well as large seeds. Once cleared, it functioned just fine.
