No idea what this is. Lady told me if I cut it at the base it will grow back. Thinking it died off during winter. In Houston if it matters.

Looks like an Oleander to me. Mine looked like this after both freezes, chop it off at the ground and it'll likely come back. They're hard to kill when you want them gone. I haven't even cut mine back from the last freeze and life is growing through the death

My guess was oleander, too. Mine looked like that after that snowmageddon a couple years ago. They bounced back quick, though. I thought they were completely dead for sure.

If I recall I cut it way back close to the ground. It was an eyesore on the side of our house facing our neighbors. It was mostly out of sight, out of kind for me so I forgot about it for a while after cutting it back until I realized some time later it bounced back like crazy.

Looks like a Bottle Brush to me. They are beautiful but not very tolerant of freezing temps.
