If so, any recs on next steps? Found three of these in my bathroom. Zero signs of subterranean termite activity/mud tunnels around the exterior of my house. Zero signs of termites inside my house. For what it's worth my neighbor had a huge termite problem a few weeks back so they could have swarmed to my house I just cannot find a nest. Wondering if the rain has driven a few inside?

fwiw, same thing happened to me last year. Swarm of termites showed up in my upstairs bathroom for a few days. No signs elsewhere. They disappeared by the time pest guys came out for full inspection and they found nothing. Were just passing through I guess.

Hopefully they hitched a ride in and there's no infestation.

Few weeks ago I took my dog outside after dark. They were swarming bad around the lights so was only outside a couple minutes. Turned off all the visible lights and sat down for some TV.

About 5 minutes later went to the bathroom. When I was looking in the mirror I noticed one crawling on my shirt. Then another. And another. By the time I had stripped down and inspected everything I had killed 10. Didn't know they were there when I was watching TV and no signs on the furniture.

I'm guessing the light of the bathroom got them moving again.

I found 3 and no more since. Potentially related to all the rain. Keeping an eye out for more but hopefully got out unscathed.

Is this a termite? Spider caught it and I just happened to notice it. Looks very similar. Had a termite inspection only a month ago. Really don't want to have to deal with this. Will spraying bifen xts around the perimeter help?

Wife just saw 2 more inside and I saw about 50 in my driveway. I put a ton of downed limbs on my trailer that they could be coming from but I JUST bought this house and had a termite inspection and there were no signs. Now I'm super sketched out.

We had termites swarm inside last year - saw 50 or so one afternoon then nothing ever since. Have seen a few more again this week - same time of year as last year. Wife is getting paranoid since we haven't jumped on any kind of treatment.

I'm going to hit outside with bifen xts and inside with bifen it. May throw down some Taurus sc as well. What does texags think of this plan?

Don't totally freak, they swarm. I have switched for general inside from bifen it to lamdastar ultracap for longer coverage since microencapsulated. If you are just going to do outside foundation and nearby i would just do fionipril like tarus sc. If you are doing larger outside area then xts away from foundation.
But most important make sure you did not bring them in. Lots of Formosan termites in things like rail road tyes that people buy and build with. Copper wool on weep holes, make sure that forms were pulled in pipe penetrations if you can see thru access ports, and if so you can use sc in wall voids to stop them
Read application instructions and follow if going to do yourself. More not always better.

I'm on the end of my bottle of bifen IT so I'm going to finish that up and will look in to what you mentioned. I bought the XTS for treatment of our land and have Taurus sc from a previous bout of carpenter ants. Had actually never even seen a termite until last night and they didn't seem to be crawling around this morning although they definitely made it a decent way in to the house. After more reading I definitely feel more comfortable that they were just swarming, I just hope they didn't find something they liked. To stick around in.
