*Recommendation?
Ongoing porch/garage rebuild and having to make a decision about stains.
We have 3 different types of wood we are trying to get looking similar/good together. Our contractor likes to use Cabot Australian in Jerrah Brown but it comes out looking very orange to us.
We have structural poles in Red Fir, Mahogany exterior doors and Pine ceiling boards.
Was wondering if anyone has experience with any certain stain colors to make different wood either a light or medium brown? Not opposed to a darker brown either. We are trying to not have orange/red tones as much as possible. Have some readyseal samples coming.
Considering a semi-solid stain for the mahogany and red fir if I can't find something and then a semi transparent for the pine.
Any advice appreciated. Can't pick a different type of wood at this point but that would've been the smartest move....I know.
