Does anyone have a recommendation for a grass company that will install St. Augustine in Sugar Land? Looking for 2-4 pallets all in. Need shade tolerant grass, and if Bermuda is a better option, I can be convinced to go that way. The side yards have died off completely and I just want something to grow. The back yard is mostly covered by three large live oaks and needs some grass too.
Thanks in advance.

I've bought sod from Houston Grass in Arcola and installed myself. They carry Palmetto St. Augustine which is supposed to be the most shade tolerant variety. I don't know if they do installation, but I bet they have recommendations if they don't.

All Seasons turf in Brookshire. You will not be disappointed. I got a pallet of StA a couple years ago after the freeze and it was the best sod I've ever bought. Nice sandy base vs. the hard clay most places sell, and about half the price per square. They will deliver for a fee, but I picked mine up.

Can second them. Bought 14 pallas for my old house of zoyzia and prices were good and the grass was all in great shape

What makes you think grass will grow in those areas? If it died off before, it will die off again and you're wasting your time & money.

Sorry for the long delay in responding. I want to try again because the neighbors on either side have grass just over the fences, so the conditions should be the same for us. When we had grass installed a few years ago, the guy I hired did a crappy job with pretty poor soil, then a few months later we had the siding replaced and the house painted, so there was a lot of traffic on fairly fresh grass.

I guess I am as optimistic about getting grass to grow as I am Aggie sports. Hopefully I won't be as disappointed.
