looking to get some plans drawn - what should I look for with regards to pricing?
- by the hour?
- whole home?
- flat rate up to certain size?

also, is there a going rate, or does it depend wholly upon experience, reputation, etc

A friend of mine who is a long-time homebuilder in the area ('01) now does pretty much commercial-only ventures but still loves to draw up homes (he does it in his spare time) -- he's very gifted with it, maximizing space with vision, etc. He built our house, and I've observed over 20 builds of his, and they're all phenomenal.
