Getting some A/C duct work quotes and one tech pitched this reme halo air purifier product to kill bacteria coming into the attic unit. What are yalls opinions on the product?

I am fine breathing in the same air that's always come through the unit, but my wife likes the idea since we have 3 young kids.

We have one, but I have no idea if it's really doing anything. I've been confused about changing the UV light; I have checked a few times and it is on. I'm going to bring it up to our service tech the next time they come by to look over the system.

I have one in my house. Does it help? Maybe? I've got four young kids that don't know how to shut a door. My back sliding door is open as I type this message sitting on the porch drinking a cold Coors lol.
In my opinion there needs to be more independent studies done to really show the value of them. Like everything else in life there are opinions both ways. I installed one to try and help with my families allergies and what seemed like constant illness. The allergies did not improve but we do seem to be less sick but that could be coincidence.
