I have a steel patio set, 4 chairs and a table, that I need sand (abrasive) blasted before I can repaint. Any suggestions would be appreciated as usual.

Why sand blasting? Get a cheap harbor freight grinder with a wire cup and clean them in your driveway.

1, I'm 73 and that's difficult. Second there is a lot of "mesh" that would be tough for a grinder I would think.

Got it. If you're not looking to take them somewhere, you can get a cheap portable media blaster from Harbor Freight. You just need a decent air compressor for it. You may want to make a wooden frame to go around a chair and staple plastic drop cloth to it as a makeshift cabinet. You could probably vacuum up your media for reuse that way.
