Does anyone know where I can find a month-by-month pecan tree maintenance schedule or something similar which may include information on Pruning, Watering, Fertilizing, Pest and Disease Control, Monitoring For Stress. I have two pecan trees which are seven or eight years old-one is a Desirable and the other is a Choctaw- but I haven't had any pecans to harvest so far, although I've had some green hulls on the Desirable which never matured. Really nothing at all from the Choctaw. They seem healthy and are watered and fertilized, but I must be doing something wrong due to the lack of production. The Desirable has grown fairly well (trunk about 3-4 inches), but the Choctaw has lagged behind (trunk about 2 inches). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If your goal is to harvest pecans, start now to reduce the squirrel population. Just a handful of them can destroy the entire harvest of a large mature tree.
